Join Our Family

PCMS operates under a no-rejection audition policy. No matter how much experience you have, what instrument you play, or how much time you can commit, we will match you with groups and opportunities to fit your profile. The interest form we ask you to fill out before your audition gives us an idea of what kind of chamber music you’re interested in, and your audition helps us get to know you as a player and a personality.

We understand that it’s difficult to form chamber groups and get to know other musicians, so we also hope that the placement audition will help students get access to Princeton’s rich community of musicians. If you want to perform with a pre-formed group, all you have to do is let us know, and we’ll work with your group to find concert opportunities. Additionally, if you’re a returning student, auditions are optional. That being said, if you’d like us to hear you play up close and have a chance to get to know us, don’t hesitate to sign up!

Fall Auditions

Fall auditions are now closed, but no worries! Our spring auditions will take place in the first two or three weeks of the semester. If you'd like to get involved with PCMS' social events and performances before then, or if you have any other questions or concerns, please email us at pcms@princeton.edu. We'd love to have you!
